The deadline for all packages (software, data experiment, workflows) to pass R CMD build and R CMD check without TIMEOUT, ERROR, or WARNING is Friday October 26th. The devel branch will temporarily be frozen on Monday October 29th to branch for the October 31st release. Any changes after the freeze will have to be updated to the release 3.8 and devel 3.9 branch. If your package has been failing to pass build or check for an extended period of time it will be marked for immediate deprecation in the next development cycle (devel 3.9) until it is fixed.
