We are pleased to announce the Latin American Bioconductor Developers Workshop, which will take place in Cuernavaca, Mexico, from July 30th to August 3rd, 2018. The workshop is intended to encourage local R users, bioinformaticians and programmers to contribute packages to the Bioconductor project. This event will be focused on teaching participants how to develop R/Bioconductor packages. Our goal is to create a local community of bioinformatics software developers and hold regular meetings where participants present their software contributions.
We have a line-up of great instructors and speakers, including Martin Morgan, Heather Turner, Benilton Carvalho, Alejandro Reyes, Leonardo Collado-Torres, Alejandra Medina-Rivera, Selene Fernandez-Valverde, María Teresa Ortiz and Alicia Mastretta Yanes.
