The Campbell lab is seeking postdoctoral fellows to join the Division of Computational Biomedicine (CBM) in the Department of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). African American (AA) men have the highest incidence and mortality rate from prostate cancer in the United States. While the causes of this stark disparity are multifactorial, prostate cancers from AA men may harbor unique molecular alterations that give rise to more aggressive disease. We are utilizing DNA sequencing, single cell genomics, and proteomics to identify molecular and cellular differences between tumors from different populations that may contribute to these disparities. The Campbell lab is also developing and applying novel computational methods to large-scale genomic data in order to gain meaningful insights into disease biology and elucidate the molecular underpinnings of cancer disparities. Job requirements:

• Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or a related field within the past 5 years.
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English are required.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Experience developing and applying algorithms for analyzing large-scale genomic datasets is preferred.
• Experience with Unix/Linux is required and experience with R and python is preferred.
