Dear Gviz Team, dear community,

Gviz seems to put labels of track items that I specify with

featureAnnotation="id"

on the middle of a track item. That works as long as the current plot shows the center of the item. If we look at items start or end these labels do not show. Is there a way better handle this matter?

Best,

Sven

Section 4.4 of the Gviz User's Guide covers this subject.

Dear James,

thank you for replying to me. I do not see how section 4.4 helps here. AFAIK gviz allows to put labels

left, right, above(center) or below(center).

However not between these options. So to make this clear again, if I zoom in on the marked box in attached graphic, there would be no label because its neither the left/right/center.

Please correct me if I am wrong,

Best, Sven example

You are not wrong. If you want to zoom into some random little section that doesn't include the label, then you are correct that the label won't be there.
