Within the Center of Statistics, Informatics and Epidemiology several institutes are working together in the research and application of statistical and informatics methodology to analyze and interpret biomedical data.
At the Department of Medical Statistics of the University Medical Center Göttingen we are seeking
PhD students
in the areas of Bioinformatics, Computer Science and Biostatistics
(fixed-term contracts, salary according to TV-L 13 50%)
Within different research consortia and a newly founded junior research group in Network Medicine we have several openings for PhD student positions.
We are developing tools and methods to integrate and interpret different types of Omics data in a unversity hospital setting and are applying these in the context of oncological research and in medical applications. Here, we are looking for
(1) PhD students to work on the analysis, integration and visualization approaches to work with molecular pathways in the context of high- throughput Omics data.
(2) PhD students to work on modeling of knowledge on biological networks and the extension of network-based approaches in the field of systems medicine.
