Hi

I am using SomaticSignatures package to generate mutational signature plots for a study with a single disease. Using RSS and variance plot, I have 10 signatures generated but want to know which one of these is the most significant. Is there a way to get a p-value or something similar for the signatures.

Thanks

Can you explain in a bit more detail what you mean with "most significant", i.e. what null hypothesis you have in mind?

Sure. I have 10 signatures from a single cancer study and have assigned each sample as a study by-itself to look into the profile for every sample. I could probably look into the percentage contribution plot using plotSamples method to know that. I am trying to find which one of these 10 signature is the most significant(most dominant) amongst all the samples. Is there a way to get this value with the package, besides computing  incidence or frequency of every signature and anova ?
