Hi all, I?m attempting to QC a set of HGU133plus2 chips (n=20), using the simpleaffy package. ########################## > qc.data<-qc(celdata,my.eset) Getting probe level data... Computing p-values Doing PMA Calls > plot(qc.data) Error in plot.window(xlim, ylim, log, asp, ...) : need finite xlim values ... ########################### (MacOS X 10.3.9, R 2.01, Bioconductor 1.5, simpleaffy 2.01, affy 1.5.8-1) I noticed that Ariel Chernomoretz posted (precisely) the same error a while back, which I am reposting below.... Unfortunately, I haven?t run across a reply. thanks, Larry >Dear all, > >I get the following error whenever I try to plot the results of the >quality control analysis > > > qc<-qc(Data) > > plot(qc) > > Error in plot.window(xlim, ylim, log, asp, ...) : > > need finite xlim values > > In addition: Warning messages: > > 1: no finite arguments to min; returning Inf > > 2: no finite arguments to max; returning -Inf > > 3: no finite arguments to min; returning Inf > > 4: no finite arguments to max; returning -Inf > > > >I am using Solaris 8, R 2.0 (64 bits), Bioconductor 1.5, simpleaffy 2.01 > >The same 2 code lines work fine under R 1.9 (64 bits), Bioconductor >1.4, simpleaffy 1.2.1 > >Any help would be appreciated > > >Ariel Chernomoretz, Ph.D. >Centre de recherche du CHUL >2705 Blv Laurier, bloc T-367 >Sainte-Foy, Qc >G1V 4G2 >(418)-525-4444 ext 46339 -- _____________________________________ Lawrence LaPointe CSIRO - Flinders University - Enterix Office: 61 2 9325 3250 Alt. 61 2 9674 7797 Mobile: 04 0099 5027

Dear List, I've discovered that upgrading to the latest simpleaffy (2.10-1) appears to fix this problem. Please disregard earlier note...
