We are looking for two motivated individuals to join the multi-disciplinary BRAINN (Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology) team at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP/Brazil) as Post-doctoral Researchers in Biostatistics and Computational Biology. These are (initially) 2 year FAPESP (Sao Paulo Research Foundation) funded positions and detailed below:
Position 1:
The Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (BRAINN), Campinas, SP, Brazil is seeking postdoctoral candidates with a B.Sc. degree in biology and research experience in the analysis of complex biological data. More specifically, the candidate must have knowledge in R programming, mathematical and statistical modeling of complex biological systems and analysis of proteomics data. Applicants must have completed Ph.D. degree by the time of application obtained in the last 4 years and show good scientific communication skills by having published at least two papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Language requirements: proficiency in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Funds are available for an initial 2 years period. Position 2:
The Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (BRAINN), located at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP/Brazil), is seeking highly motivated and analytically capable postdoctoral candidates with strong interest in neurosciences and integrative analytical approaches for -omics data. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree, obtained in the last 4 years, with strong analytic background in one of the following areas: Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or equivalent. Programming proficiency in some language (e.g., R, Python, Perl, C, C++ or Java) and at least three scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the last three years are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, Portuguese or Spanish) are indispensable. Funds are available for an initial 2 years period.
