Hi All! I have a list of genes (Affy ID), and an expression value for each gene. 1. how can I draw a map of chromosomes, on which the genes are marked? 2. is it possible to color-code the genes on this map? Is there any package, which is capable to do this? Thank You Balazs

Hi, You can first look at the function "alongChrom" of the "geneplotter" package. Florence. We have been working on an experimental package (irCGMA) to identify regional expression biases using data smoothing approaches. Part of the package is a set of functions to plot genomic data adjacent to chromosome ideograms. The plotIdeogram and ideoXplot functions in irCGMA may be helpful in addition to the geneplotter library. The irCGMA package can be found at http://www.vai.org/vari/supplemental/kyle.furge/download.html -kyle > From: Dr_Gyorffy_Balazs <zsalab2@yahoo.com> > Reply-To: zsalab2@yahoo.com > Date: Mon, 7 Feb 2005 14:42:02 +0000 (GMT) > To: bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch > Subject: [BioC] Affy: chromosomal localization with expression value for of > gene lists > > Hi All! > > I have a list of genes (Affy ID), and an expression value > for each gene. > 1. how can I draw a map of chromosomes, on which the genes > are marked? > 2. is it possible to color-code the genes on this map? > > Is there any package, which is capable to do this? > > Thank You > Balazs > > _______________________________________________ > Bioconductor mailing list > Bioconductor@stat.math.ethz.ch > https://stat.ethz.ch/mailman/listinfo/bioconductor > This email message, including any attachments, is for the so...{{dropped}}
