Job Description: A laboratory at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at the Harvard Medical School (HMS) is looking for a postdoctoral Research Associate  to conduct both bench-side and computational analysis of epigenetic state as part of a new Center of Excellence in Genomic Science (CEGS) NIH initiative on neuropsychiatric disorders. The Research Associate will be responsible for developing and applying novel chromatin analysis assays to examine regulatory differences in patient-derived cell lines and other disease models. The Research Associate will also contribute to the integrative computational analysis of the resulted data. The project will provide an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a number of prominent labs that are taking part in the CEGS initiative. 

Requirements:

  • A strong interest in conducting collaborative research on the topics outlined above
  • PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with DNA or RNA sequencing assays
  • Experience in computational analysis of genomic data
  • Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
