Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center,…

Hi there,

I'm checking out this support.bioconductor.org website for the first time:  looks nice!

This might be a dumb question:  I'd like to search old posts with a single word (Rgraphviz) and then sort the results to show most recent first, but I can't seem to do that.  Looks like the "classic search" is what I need, but I can't see an option to sort the results.  That'd be really useful - is it possible to implement? (or maybe it already exists)

It'd also be useful to show the date of the most recent activity on a thread on the search results.  These two things were really useful features on the GMANE site.

thanks very much,

Janet

Individual packages are tagged, so you can go to TAGS>> on the top navigation bar and look for the rgraphviz tag (sorry about the capitalization). Clicking on the tag gives all (??) messages where RGraphviz is mentioned; the return value is easily sorted / restricted on the page where they're displayed. Turns out that the nimble-fingered amongst us can also navigate to tagged packages using https://support.bioconductor.org/t/rgraphviz/

Thanks, Martin - that'll be very helpful when I'm looking for specific packages, and Dan's future fix will be great for more generic searches.

Hi Janet,

There are some issues with search. This one is mentioned here:

https://github.com/Bioconductor/support.bioconductor.org/issues/4

We'll make sure this gets addressed.

Dan
