Hi,
I am trying to install the xps package, but it returns some error msg:
> source("http://bioconductor.org/biocLite.R")
> biocLite("xps")
BioC_mirror: http://bioconductor.org
Using Bioconductor version 2.11 (BiocInstaller 1.8.3), R version 2.15.
Installing package(s) 'xps'
package xps is available as a source package but not as a binary
Warning message:
package xps is not available (for R version 2.15.2)
I tried installing from the windows binary, but it does not work
either:
utils:::menuInstallLocal()
package xps successfully unpacked and MD5 sums checked
> library(xps)
Error in inDL(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now), ...) :
unable to load shared object 'C:/Program
Files/R/R-2.15.2/library/xps/libs/i386/xps.dll':
LoadLibrary failure: The specified module could not be found.
Error: package/namespace load failed for xps
Looks like I am missing xps.dll, but not sure how to fix it.
BTW, I am using R2.15.2 (32 bit), my OS is windows 7
The windows binary says 32 bit only, but I am not sure whether that's
for
OS or R.
Any clues? Thanks,
-Jack

Dear all,
While trying to install "xps", I face the same problem than Jack Luo.
BioC_mirror: http://bioconductor.org
Using Bioconductor version 2.14 (BiocInstaller 1.14.2), R version
3.1.1.
Installing package(s) 'xps'
package ‘xps’ is available as a source package but not as a binary
Warning message:
package ‘xps’ is not available (for R version 3.1.1)
Does anyone know whether xps packages can be run on windows (windows 7)? If no,what are the systems compatible with xps (OS?) ?
All the best,
Alexandre
EDIT: My windows 7 is on 64bit
