I would like to receive suggestions of books about analyses of cDNA microarrays. I would appreciate a lot if in these books there were examples of analyses, essentialy of analyses involving factorial design. If this is possible, please, send the suggestions for my e-mail address. I intend to buy them by internet (e-commerce). Thanks very much -- Marcelo Luiz de Laia, M.Sc. Dep. de Tecnologia, Lab. Both "Microarray Bioinformatics" by Dov Stekel, and "Statistical Analysis of Gene Expression Microarray Data" edited by Terry Speed, are excellent books. Apart from that, I find the Bioconductor mailing lists and documentation an essential resource, as is the microarray- norm@ebi.ac.uk mailing list. Hello All, I believe this has been discussed before. I am interested in plotting probe set CV or SE versus intensity for a number of U133A chips with the goal of trying to detect what the lowest intensity I can trust would be. Would anybody have any detailed documentation on how to do this? Many thanks, Lawrence _______________________________ Lawrence-Paul Petalidis Ph.D Candidate Department of Pathology Division of Molecular Histopathology University of Cambridge

Here are the addresses for the microarray book list. http://www.nslij-genetics.org/microarray/book.html http://ihome.cuhk.edu.hk/~b400559/book_mray.html For the beging you can try these books. Microarray Bioinformatics ~ Dov Stekel -- (Paperback - September 8, 2003) Guide to Analysis of DNA Microarray Data ~ Steen Knudsen -- (Paperback - March 12, 2004) This book is more advanced. Exploration and Analysis of DNA Microarray and Protein Array Data ~D. Amaratunga, Javier Cabrera John Wiley & Sons Inc. Hope this helps. Narendra Kaushik [[alternative HTML version deleted]]
