updateObject fails

Hi everybody. I have an old exprSet and AffyBatch (from 2006) I believe that I need to read. I tried updateObject and failed, I try to get the exprs as: object at exprs and failed. any other idea..... In particular it's possible that there is a conflict between Biobase::updateObject and IRanges::updateObject.
