Hi All, I would like to get normalized intensity values from a marrayNorm object. Is it possible? Regards Marcelo Luiz de Laia, M.Sc. Dep. de Tecnologia, Lab. Hi, data is a marrayNorm object M <- maM(data) gives you the normlized log-ratios A <- maA(data) gives you the average log-intensity You can solve the equation M = R - G A = 1/2(R + G) if you want to obtain the normalized log-intensity R and G. To backsolve those equations then for normalized R and G, the normalized R = 0.5*(M-Mpred) + 1*A with normalized G = -0.5*(M-Mpred) + 1*A where Mpred is the predicted M from the Loess fit. Robert J.
