the Medical University Innsbruck has a open position at full Professor
level
in bioinformatics.

The Biocenter at the Medical University of Innsbruck
is inviting applications for a TENURE-TRACK faculty position at the
Full
Professor level in Bioinformatics. The position will start July 1,
2009.
Candidates should have recognized expertise and a continuous track-
record in
the acquisition of research funds. Research areas of special interest
for
the Medical University of Innsbruck include genomics and RNomics,
proteomics
and gene expression profiling. The participation in the special
research
program Cell Proliferation and Cell Death in Tumors" (SFB021) will be
encouraged.
This position involves teaching responsibilities at graduate and
post-graduate levels. Excellent knowledge of German language is
therefore
mandatory.
Formal requirement for an appointment is a postdoctoral lecturing
qualification (Habilitation) or equivalent achievements in research
and
teaching.
The written application should be submitted as 1 hard copy and 6 CDs
and
should include:
CV, copies of certificates (doctorate and Habilitation), list of
publications (including hard copies of the five most important
publications), description of administrative and organisatorial
experience
(use form xx at xxx), list of lectures given (use form xx at xxx)
including
evaluations if available, list of previously aquired research grants

form xx at xxx), synopsis of previous and current research interests
(2-pages).
