Hello, This is an extremely basic question regarding biomaRt. Where can I find careful descriptions of what the attributes mean? I've tried all kinds of searches, but I don't think I'm hitting on the right term. For example, I'm accessing ensembl and I've never understood the difference between some of the attributes I frequently. Thanks, Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, Can you provide me with some examples of the attributes that you frequently use and I can try to define them for you? Hi Rhoda, Thanks very much for your kind offer, but I guess my point is that I would like an official reference so that I don't have to ask, but can just look them up. Particularly when the names change. Or find out what's the difference between things like 'structure_transcript_stable_id' and 'ensembl_transcript_id', or what are the 'structure_' attributes versus 'sequence_' and when can I mix and match, etc. I'm guessing this should be documented in either Ensembl or biomart webpages, but I'm not sure which or where. I would ask on those pages, but I was not sure if any of it is specific to biomaRt.
