dear all, the Medical University of Innsbruck (http://www.i-med.ac.at), Austria is offering a junior group leader position in Bioinformatics/Systems Biology. Announcement: Junior group leader position in Bioinformatics/Systems Biology The Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) is offering a Junior Group Leader position in bioinformatics/systems biology. Apart from the leader, the group will be equipped with a post-doctoral position, a PhD student, € 15.000/year spending money and the necessary appliances. The position is offered for 4 years, after successful evaluation the position may be tenured. The group will be affiliated with the Division of Molecular Pathophysiology, Department Biocenter, and will work in close association with the SFB "Cell Proliferation and Cell Death in Tumors"and the Affymetrix-Expression Profiling Unit (EPU) of the MUI. In particular, the group will be expected to support the members of the SFB in bioinformatic questions related to genomics and proteomics data analysis (experimental planning, pathway analyses, formation of testable hypotheses, etc.) and assist the EPU in establishing new bioinformatics techniques for data analysis (Exon arrays, promoter tiling arrays, microRNA screening, translatome analyses, whole genome tiling arrays, analyses of data from different platforms, etc). Requirements: - Doctoral degree in a related field - Extensive expertise with analysis of data derived from genomics techniques (expression profiling, microRNA screening, ChIP on CHIP, translatome analyses, etc) - experience in leading a small group Applications including a complete CV with list of publications should be directed until 15.8.2008 to: Univ.
