Has anyone done work automating the process of importing SMD raw data into marrayRaw objects? The read.SMD() function helps a bit. However, creation of the constitutive marrayLayout and marrayInfo objects is still a manual process. Just thought I'd ask before I create my own solution. Thanks. -Colin

Hi Colin, There isn't any function for reading SMD gene and layout information at the moment. However if the corresponding layout and gene information from SMD data is a gal file you can try using the function read.Galfile. Alternatively, you can modified the code slightly to customize it for SMD file.
