Hi there,

I have a 67GB compressed fasta file and I would like to know if there are any package in seqinr or bioconductor to work with compressed files?

What exactly do you mean by 'work with compressed files'? That could encompass many things - being specific in your questions is the only way you can expect to get useful answers.

This is probably related to your question https://www.biostars.org/p/415326 Please make sure to follow up there. In R you will have the same issue which users already pointed out at Biostars which is that a 32GB computer cannot load a 67GB file into memory.

I recommend you follow up on that Biostars post, explain what exactly you want to do and why the chunk-wise processing that users suggested is not sufficient.
