The Locci Lab is interested in understanding the basic mechanisms of T follicular helper (Tfh) cell differentiation and function, with emphasis on human studies (https://micro.med.upenn.edu/faculty/key=p9024758). The Lab is part of the Institute for Immunology, a large and vibrant immunology community at the University of Pennsylvania. We are seeking a motivated and talented Postdoctoral researcher to lead a project aimed at dissecting Tfh cell functional diversity and mechanisms of B cell help by single cell RNA-sequencing and in vitro/in vivo functional assays. Qualified applicants should have a PhD, strong background in bioinformatics and Next Generation sequencing.  Candidates with background in immunology and wet lab experience are highly encouraged to apply. 

Relevant publications related to the research described above are:
- Human circulating PD-1+CXCR3-CXCR5+ memory Tfh cells are highly functional and correlate with broadly neutralizing HIV antibody responses. Locci et al. Immunity 2013
- Activin A programs the differentiation of human Tfh cells. Locci et al. Nature Immunology. 2016
