If that isn't possible for you, there is a link to the 1.6 packages here: http://www.bioconductor.org/download/ I'm not sure what you mean by disappear or unavailable, but perhaps a link on the main page changes (appropriately) to reflect the current release. Note that you can follow the same installation instructions and if you are running R 2.1.x, you will automatically get the 1.6 packages. HTH, + seth

Thanks to Eric and Seth.:) Sometime I just need to have a look at the version number of some packages instead install them. Are there some other ways to do this? Hi Xuejun, I think checking the version #s on the website is the easiest way. (This is also what I do all the time.) The link to BioC 1.6 is fixed. Check it out. What he means is that when you click on "BioC 1.6 Release" under Download, and then "BioC 1.6 Package listing", that link points to the 1.7 package listing, not the 1.6 (because the link is to biocStable, not bioc1.6). -----Original Message----- From: bioconductor-bounces@stat.math.ethz.ch [mailto:bioconductor-bounces at stat.math.ethz.ch] On Behalf Of Seth Falcon Sent: Monday, November 14, 2005 3:00 PM To: bioconductor at stat.math.ethz.ch Subject: Re: [BioC] BioC 1.6 Release unavailable On 14 Nov 2005, liux at cs.man.ac.uk wrote: > Hi all, > > Does anyone notice that the BioC 1.6 released packages are not > available?
